DIY Freezer Pops

This DIY Freezer Pop holder is a useful and easy to make craft that your little one will be using all summer long. Plus, it’s a fun way to eat your Juicy Juice Freezer Pops without getting cold fingers!

Materials:

  • Colorful felt sheets – 12” x 8”
  • Hot glue gun
  • Kid-friendly scissors
  • Gems
  • Googly eyes
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

Step 1:

First, use your ruler to measure out a 2” x 8” rectangle on your felt sheet. Use your pencil to mark the measurements and proceed to cut them out with your scissors (parental supervision advised for this step). Keep in mind that these dimensions are for an average ice pop. A good rule of thumb is to wrap your felt around an ice pop and leave an extra quarter inch for gluing and easily inserting your ice pop.

Step 2:

Next, fold your felt sheet in half lengthwise and hot glue the bottom and side edges together. Be sure to leave the top edge unglued so your ice pop can slide in later. This step is recommended for parents only.

Step 3:

Next, grab a different color of felt to decorate your Freezer Pop Holder. Have your little one use your pencil to create any shapes or design that they want. We’re decorating ours with a monster!

Step 4:

Cut out the shapes. For example, we are cutting out the body, mouth, and teeth for our monster. Use the other colored felt sheets to build out your design.

Step 5:

Parents, carefully glue your child’s shapes, gems and googly eyes together with hot glue. We’re adding a googly eye to bring our monster to life!

Step 6:

Parents, carefully glue the assembled shape onto your ice pop sleeve.

Step 7:

Let everything dry after a couple of minutes, then slip an ice pop in for your kiddo to enjoy!
