Juicy Spider Eggs

It’s not everyday that a snack might make you jump at first glance or at least make you look twice. Most of the time a snack should look delicious but this Halloween season it’s all about spooky fun! And why not have a little fun making a snack the little ones will belly-laugh the whole while making it?

Ingredients:
6 Hardboiled Eggs
24 Black Olives
1 Tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1 Pinch Sea Salt
½ Teaspoon Fresh Ground Pepper

Step 1: Gather your ingredients neatly on your plates.

Step 2: Cut your eggs in half lengthwise, and gently scoop out the yolks. Use fork or spoon to mash the yolks up. Stir in Dijon mustard, salt and fresh ground pepper.
spider2Step 3: Fill your egg white halves with the yolk mixture, heaping it carefully. Hand-sprinkle with paprika to taste. Slice 12 of your black olives in half, saving both halves for the two parts of the spider’s body.

Step 4: Place each half of your olives on the center of an egg yolk for the spider’s “body”. Gather another 12 olives, split in half and thinly slice to make the spider’s “legs.” Four on each side for accuracy.
